Into the unknown oftentimes feels very alone and discouraging. When you’re not sure about the Unseen…about the future or the in between. The unknown can become a spiraling pit of sorrow and even pity. So many mixed emotions swirling around like a raging sea. How will this storm be squelched and calmer brilliant water return?
We all want uplifting answers now.. we all want positive results now. But, life really isn’t primarily about that. Life is a lot more about going into the unknown…going into uncharted territory without a map. The trials of life are unwanted guests that disrupt the party…but the trials also test the depth of our faith, character and maturity.
As I think back in my life, it really has been the trials that have moved me on and upward in maturing and depth in my faith. I would have never chosen the trials I have been in, however it almost seems like they chose me. And in the realness of this life, without God’s grace, without His power of forgiveness and hope of redemption..we are completely lost.
Everyday we all walk into unknown situations and circumstances and people we don’t know.
How can our finite minds perceive that The Invisible is more real than the visible? Faith is absolutely key to our daily lives. “Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God.”
What are we really hearing through the day? Are we hearing mostly truth, lies or just entertaining nonsense? I believe in this world we are hearing mostly lies and enticing speculations. Truth is rare, precious, life giving, transforming and irreplaceable.
Why would we settle for anything less than the truth? Because of the lies of the enemy of our souls and because the deceitfullness of our own hearts “thinking” we know better!
Lord teach me to go into the unknown with You no matter what, believing You in every unknown step. Turn my heart & eyes towards You and may my mind dwell on Your goodness in all things!
Hear my prayers
Faith like Abram..settingnout for place unknown…just going.
Oh Lord Who is Lord of every day…let me seek You…center my “me” on You.
